Hi,
I know I wasn't feeling too chipper but I stayed up to listen to Obama's speech on Osama Bin Laden which was at 04:30hrs.
Could this be why the William & Kate honeymoon was cancelled? Did America give a heads up this event was going down as I had heard they planned to go to an exclusive venue in Jordan.
Whatever - felt lousy when I surfaced and had a tummy ache and also a temp. of 37.5C and my little booklet tells me to phone in to chemo >pager< at Velindre if I have a temp. of 37.5C or above.
So I called and gave my symptoms and all seems NO PANIC BUT!
The concern is that I may have a slight infection, possibly oral, as I have mouth ulcers and the concern is that I may be neutropenic (long word for low white blood cell count).
So its me for a quick shower - throw some clothes on and trundle down to the Gwent for a blood check in MSU (Medical Support Unit).
The tummy ache is still there but Sam (chemo sister) thinks that may be delayed reaction to last week's chemo.
I have to take an overnight bag as they may need to put me on a drip - I am not looking forward to explaining this to Lee as she will be bound to be worried.
Oh well off for a shower - This may be the first variance but I'm sure it won't be the last - they might even give me something for the apparent temperature induced head ache!
I just want to say sorry for copping out at times and leaving Lee and friends to cope!
Any help and support YOU can give her will be hugely welcome.
I do make a lousy patient!
